Puffin Viewing

The Bonavista Peninsula is one of the very few places in North America where you can see Puffin colonies from land.

Elliston - Bird Island Puffin Viewing Site

Every year thousands of tourists travel to our peninsula to see these majestic sea birds. The Puffins migrate to Elliston's viewing site late spring/early summer and can be seen in masses on Bird Island. Simply walk out a short trail to the cliffs edge and there will be many photograph opportunities.
